The University of Colorado Boulder placed 39th among top public national universities in the new edition of U.S. News & World Report’s Best of National Universities for 2018 list.

The magazine also placed CU Boulder 90th among all public, private and for-profit universities in the country.

The magazine’s Best Colleges rankings, just released, focus on the academic quality of undergraduate programs across the country.

The University of Colorado Denver is No. 113 on the Best National Universities list. It lands at  No. 207 among all national universities.

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs is sixth on the list of top public regional universities of the West and 35th overall among regional universities of the West.

CU Boulder’s undergraduate engineering program is 16th among public institutions whose highest degree is a doctorate; 30th among all national universities.

CU Boulder’s undergraduate business program at the Leeds School of Business ranks 20th among public universities and 31st overall.

Colorado State University, meanwhile, is No. 58 among public universities in the magazine’s ranking, climbing nine spots since 2012. U.S. News also lists CSU as one of the top Best Value Schools, based on academic quality and cost of attendance.

Other Colorado colleges and universities also earned high rankings from the magazine:

Colorado College, a private school in Colorado Springs, is ranked No. 23 in National Liberal Arts Colleges.

Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction is ranked No. 24 in Regional Colleges of the West, and Regis University is ranked No. 27 in Regional Colleges of the West.

The U.S. Air Force Academy is ranked No. 26 in National Liberal Arts Colleges.

Colorado School of Mines is ranked No. 74 in National Universities, while University of Denver is ranked No. 87 in National Universities.

Western State College in Gunnison is ranked No. 86 in Regional Universities West.
